Born on a Backroad

Lumen Nights began in 2019 when a small collective of artists and engineers strung three miles of warm filament across a meadow outside Aurora Hollow and invited two hundred friends to listen to ambient sets until sunrise.

What started as a private gathering has grown into one of the Pacific Northwest's most loved boutique festivals — but the soul of that first night still shapes everything: small enough to feel intimate, generous enough to surprise you, and obsessed with the way light, sound, and landscape rearrange each other after dark.

We commission new immersive installations every year, prioritize emerging artists across genres, and run the festival on 100% renewable on-site power.
