Same-day sick visits
Mornings hold open slots for patients who wake up unwell. Call by 9 am and we'll do everything we can to get you seen the same day.
Our story
Dr. Eleanor Whitfield opened Magnolia Family Health in the spring of 2008, in a small renovated cottage just off Main Street in Cedar Park. The practice grew the way she'd hoped it would — slowly, by referral, mostly through families introducing other families.
Almost two decades later, we still see many of the patients we saw on opening week. Some of their grandchildren are now patients too. That continuity is the quiet thing we're most proud of, and it's the reason every decision we make about how we run the practice comes back to one question: does this make it easier to actually know our patients?
We've stayed independent on purpose. We've kept our panels small on purpose. And we'll keep doing both, because that's how you build a practice patients can rely on for the long run.
A handful of commitments that shape every visit.

Standard visits are scheduled long. Complex visits are scheduled longer. We protect that time deliberately so nobody feels rushed.
We see newborns, teenagers, adults, and grandparents. Knowing your family helps us care for you better — and it usually means fewer doctors to coordinate with.
Magnolia is owned by its physicians, not by a hospital system or private equity firm. That independence is how we keep appointments unhurried and decisions patient-first.
Your care team

Founding physician · Adult & geriatric primary care
Eleanor founded Magnolia in 2008 after fifteen years in a large hospital system, with a simple goal: practice the kind of medicine she had been trained to practice — unhurried, relational, and accountable to the patient in front of her. She has been the steady hand of the practice ever since.

Family medicine · Sports & musculoskeletal care
Marcus joined Magnolia in 2015 after completing his residency in family medicine. He cares for patients of every age and has a particular interest in joint, back, and overuse injuries — the things that keep people from doing what they love.

Family nurse practitioner · Women's & adolescent health
Sarah has been part of the Magnolia team since 2018. She sees patients across the full age range and leads the practice's women's health and adolescent visits. Patients describe her appointments as feeling like talking with a thoughtful friend who happens to know medicine cold.

Family medicine · Pediatrics & chronic disease management
Priya joined Magnolia in 2021. Trained in both family medicine and pediatrics, she sees newborns through grandparents and quietly handles many of the practice's most complex chronic-disease patients. She is the doctor other doctors send their own families to.
We're happy to answer questions before you commit. Request an appointment or call — we'll talk you through it.
